Erica Cook, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) providing care to adults (18 and older) in both an outpatient office setting and via Telehealth. In addition to my current role, I am pursuing a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Certificate, which will allow me to integrate both medical and mental health treatment for my clients in the future. My goal is to help clients achieve their personal and mental health goals in a realistic and supportive way, using therapy and medication management when appropriate. I am excited to be part of the Center for Personal Wellness team, where collaboration between counselors, nutritionists, and myself ensures that clients receive comprehensive, well-rounded care.

With over 20 years of experience in healthcare, I have worked in long-term care, acute care, and inpatient mental health settings. It was during my years working in an inpatient psychiatric hospital that I discovered my passion for supporting individuals facing mental health challenges. This passion led me to continue my education, ultimately becoming an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner with a focus on mental health.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ohio University and recently completed my Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health from Northern Kentucky University. I am currently enrolled in Northern Kentucky University’s post-master’s FNP certificate program. As a member of the American Nurses Association, I stay up to date on the latest research and best practices in the field.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my dog, Penny, attending Cincinnati Reds games, and listening to live music with family and friends.
“So never lose an opportunity of urging a practical beginning, however small, for it is a wonderful how often in such matters the mustard-seed germinates and roots itself.”
~ Florence Nightingale
Even small steps can lead to significant change. Progress may be slow at times, but steady effort brings lasting results.
